GAMMA-EASY®, radioactivity detector fast and easy. It detects and measures gamma rays γ, with alarm and beep. It does not contain radioactive elements and does not emit electromagnetic fields
Functions - Detect radioactive contamination γ so quick and easy. - Indicates the radiation dose in uS / h or mSv / h. - Allows you to evaluate the risk of radioactive contamination by comparing the readings from normal environmental radiation.
Features - audible signal decay (ticker) - LCD display with green backlight for better visibility. - Automatic shut-off to prevent battery drain. - maximum values and average of the last 10 measurements. - Alarm value set for accumulated dose. Default settings to the recommended value of the German Institute of Radiation Protection - Measurement duration can be set from 30 sec. 3 min. - Adjustable dosing capture up to 48 hours notice in case of exceeding the set threshold.
Technical data - Power supply: alkaline battery 9 V. - Dimensions: 180 x 86 x 45 mm - Weight: 190 g ca. (Battery included)
radioactivity Notes - The environmental radiation levels in Central Europe range from 0,1uSv / h to 0.25 uSv / h. - The current law provides for a safety limit of 10 mSv per year, equivalent to a dose of ca. 1.0 mSv / h. - The precipitation may result in an increase of short duration of the values following the demolition of the natural radioactivity present in the atmosphere. This phenomenon depends mainly on the intensity of rainfall and the duration of the previous drought. - In winter, the snow cover can shield the portion of the Earth's radiation up to bring down the values measured under the usual ones.
Rays Gamma (γ): cesium-137, cobalt-60, iridium-192, Iodine-131, lanthanum-140, barium-140 are among the best known isotopes decay-range, are very dangerous because they have a high penetration power , greater than all other rays.
Contamination in food: Gamma-Easy can also detect whether the radioactivity has significant value, something hard to find in commercial products as levels not permitted in Italy and Europe.
