Smart charger for Minelab Excalibur metal detectors

DESCRIPTION

This smart charger compatible with the Minelab Excalibur metal detector, prevents battery damage, measures the capacity of your Ni-Cad or NiMH battery and charges it to full capacity without overcharging. Overcharging can cause the battery to overheat, which can shorten the life of the rechargeable battery.

Charging Indicator - When charging, the charger light will be red and when fully charged the light will turn green. When fully charged, a small trickle charge will keep the battery at full power without overcharging the battery pack.

Charging Time - For the 800mAh Ni-Cad battery, the charging time is 4.8 hours. For the 1000mAh NiMH battery, the charging time is 6 hours. If you're using a higher capacity aftermarket battery pack, for every 200mAh increase in battery capacity, it will take another 1.2 hours to fully charge.

Types of batteries you can charge - The Excalibur smart charger is designed to charge Ni-Cd, Ni and NiMH batteries (found in the Excalibur II battery packs). With the appropriate adapter, your smart charger is also capable of charging any type of Ni-Cd, Ni or NiMH battery up to a capacity of 2500mAh.
